OUR HISTORY
The Auto Spot, now known as TAS General Automotive Limited – TAS, was founded in 1996 by our Managing Director, Ricardo Waithe and has built a reputation and clientele, providing quality service and repairs to its customers.
In 2008, The Auto Spot was contracted by Massy Motors for three (3) years, to provide routine ‘Quikservice’ maintenance for vehicles under warranty.
In 2011, the company changed its name.
Massy Motors extended another offer to us, by way of a five (5) year contract, that would now recognise TAS as an authorised Massy Motors Quikservice Centre, allowing us to provide service directly to customers, at our locations.
In 2016, now with twenty (20) years of history, the contract was further renewed for an additional five (5) years and expanded to include Warranty service to two more lines of Massy Motors vehicles.
In 2021, the contract was renewed for five (5) years.
Presently, TAS General Automotive Limited is an Authorised Massy Motors Quikservice Centre for Nissan, Hyundai, Subaru, MG and Volkswagen Brands. Our Mucurapo Road location is our Specialised Volkswagen centre.
TAS operates at three locations – Uriah Butler Highway, Charlieville; Mucurapo Road, St. James and Trincity Industrial Estate, Trincity.
